 He is a member of china democrat league. After he graduated from stomatology school of west china medical university in 1952, he retained to work there on intra-oral medicine teaching, treatment and scientific research, having successively held the posts as assistant, lecturer, assistant professor, and professor.
From 1983 to 1984, he researched and studied on periodontal diseases in dental school of Harvard university and California University as a visiting scholar. After he returned in 1984, he had hold posts as dean of stomatology school of Si Chuan medical college, president of oral hospital, vice president of stomatology school, director of intra-oral research section, and key laboratory director of hygiene ministry¡¯s oral biological medicine project and so on. In addition to this, he held concurrent posts as chief committee member of chengdu branch of CSA, headman of national periodontics team, one of the editors or guest editors of magazines like china stomatology magazine ,west china stomatology magazine ,stomatology kaleidoscope, applied stomatology magazine, shanghai stomatology, oral materials and equipment of china, oral implant magazine of china as well as a member of democratic league standing committee, director of west china university branch. Professor zhang is a member of FICD and has been to Japan, Europe and America for academic exchanges. He has been working on clinical practice, teaching and research of intra-oral medicine. He edited intra-oral medicine, the teaching material for national colleges and universities, and the prevention of common oral diseases etc. He is expert in periodontal and mucous disease treatments by the combination of Chinese and western medicine. |
On the basis of abundant clinical practices and experiments, he has published more than twenty theses, among which the development and application of tooth consolidating pill win the forth class reward contributing to scientific and technological progress of Sichuan. Now its full name is ¡°kidney nourishing tooth consolidating pill¡± and is being produced by chengdu Chinese medicine factory. Moreover the medicine has been recorded in Chinese patent drug dictionary and is on the list of protecting Chinese medicines. It is in national market now.

Professor Zhou Xiukun graduated from dental school of West China University in 1952. Since then, she had successively held posts as assistant, lecturer and assistant professor. In 1983 she was appointed professor and doctorial students tutor three years later. She is one of the editing members of west china stomatology magazine, clinical stomatology magazine and the contributing reader of china stomatology magazine. Professor zhou has long been working on orthodontic teaching, treatment and research. And she took part in establishing orthodontics specialty of the university. It was in 1978 and 1985 respectively that she undertook the training of graduate students and doctorial students. On the basis of orthodontics biological mechanics, the micro-reaction and macro-reaction of orthodontic activation and tissues, she studied the correction and correction mechanism of malocclusion and deformed dental face. She adopted a new experiment way and facility and managed to establish a laser hologram laboratory, a laser holographic interference system measuring substances¡¯ small three dimensional shift. She instructed graduate students completing many theses like oral biological mechanics and the micro-reaction and macro-reaction of orthodontic activation and tissues etc. in the field of clinical orthodontics, she is dedicated to designing new correction appliances and summarizes the experiences concerning many correctors. she took the lead in the application and spreading of two terms corrections for osseous malocclusion , namely combining extra-oral orthopedic power corrector and functional dental face deformity corrector and so on. |
Professor zhou has published more than ten theses, among which occlusal dental arch¡¢ jaw morphology and its growth in the period of deciduous teeth series won the third class reward contributing to scientific and technological progress of Sichuan. In addition, she was one of the compilers of the magazines like oral orthopaedy, orthodontics, collections of stomatology , the application of removable oral corrector and so on. From 1992, she enjoys the special government allowance from the State Council.¡£ |
